White - My First True Love

While their are so many homes that embrace color - and I enjoy them to visit - Ihave to say I'm beginning to realize that white is the very favorite for me.  While white transcends color, I love the sweet simplicity of a white interior.  Here are some amazing photos I found on a recently discovered blog called French by Design.  I am continually amazed at the talent out there in the world and also the number of white interiors that I could simply step into and call home.  Enjoy!

Wardrobe Inspiration

Yesterday was actually the first day here in Portland that actually felt like Autumn.  I went for a tea and when I left my work the air was actually cool and crisp with a sunny sky.  It made me smile.  I love the air when its beginning to make the change to another season.  Even the light is different.  I can't wait to dress up in warm clothes.  Lately my eye has been stopping at camels, grays, and a pop of orange.  Just an extension of my home - LOVE the big pillows in the bottom photograph.

Autumn Inspiration

I've had the case of the sniffles this week and look forward to the weekend and some time lounging at home.  Wish I had a copy of the Herald Tribune but I have a stack of books to work on and after reading Caitlin's great entry on books over at Sacramento Street , I have another long list to pick up at the local bookstore!
